Yancy Insurance & Financial Services is a minority owned affiliate of the Yancy Insurance and Consulting Group, LP. Managing Partner Darren Yancy originally opened the Arlington office as a direct writer for one of the largest property and casualty insurers in the nation.

The original focus of the agency was exclusively personal insurance. With aggressive marketing, solid underwriting, and premier service, the agency became a top producing personal lines agency for the exclusive agency carrier. However, after the first few years of operation, many of the clients serviced by the agency began to inquire on additional needs for commercial insurance, benefits, and retirement packages. Some of these products were offered through the carrier, however, most were not. In 1998, Mr. Yancy began the long process of selecting companies to fill those product needs. He choose companies that were committed to the markets he wanted to serve; had the financial stability that clients deserved, and the reputation for claims service that would help keep clients coming back. Today, the operation represents over 70 companies in both admitted and non-admitted markets to help design the best program for you or your business.

Over time, the fulfillment of those additional needs for the personal lines clients grew into more than just lines of accommodation. The operation discovered many areas of commercial insurance that were underserved by competitors and began specializing in those markets. Today, the agency operation is a leader in the markets of Transportation, Garage, Restaurants, Convenience Stores, Childcare & Education, Religious/Institutional, Contractors, Manufacturing, Dry Cleaning, Large Property, and Mid Market risk placement.
